Virtual Reality in the Classroom

Google has introduced a simple new device to bring virtual to the classroom

Google Cardboard has been created by google as a virtual reality platform (VR) to be used in the classroom.

It is a fold- out cardboard mount to hold a mobile phone. A smartphone is inserted in to the back of the device. A google cardboard compatible app splits the smartphone display image into two, one for each eye. The image is stereoscopic (“3D”) with a wide field of view.  The mount works with phones up to 6 inches (150 mm).
