How can we make a classroom of today, accommodate the needs of the future?
Many schools have started looking at how they can achieve this. The classroom and the way it was set up in the past, do not meet the needs of the students and teachers today. With technology, creativity and collaboration now at the forefront of the curriculum, classroom designs require a overhaul to allow students and teachers the flexibility in their teaching and learning spaces.
An overhaul does not necessarily mean spending thousands of dollars to buy the latest and greatest in modular furniture. It does however, mean that teachers need to look at how their existing classroom design is accommodating the needs of their students working through a new 21st Century curriculum and look at how they could use what they already have to create new learning spaces.
